2012 NZSCTA Conference
The 2012 NZSCTA Conference will be held at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor in Wellington from the 10th to the 12th May 2012.

The full conference in 2012 will last 3 days. The main conference will be on Friday and Saturday with the Awards Dinner being held on Friday night. This will mean most attendees will be able to save at least one night's accommodation.
The first day (Thursday) will be the increasingly popular Swim School Management Day. The presentations on this day are aimed principally for an audience of swim school owners and managers. The main conference will start on the Friday.
We have managed to reduce the cost this year with an excellent saving for those who register early.

FINA's other Open Water circuit, the Open Water Grand Prix, was to have its third, and longest, race on Sunday. This year's 88-kilometer Hernandarias-Paraná race; however, did not happen, due to weather conditions in the area. Reports indicate that the race was initially postponed at 9:00 a.m., after the race's 21 swimmers had not started as-scheduled 8:30 a.m due to weather conditions. A shortened version of the race--a 21K--was consider for a later start yesterday, but also did not happen due to weather.
Today, the City of Paraná has issued a statement that a "Sprint" race of 4.5K will be held in place of the 88K, as weather is still preventing the longer distance from being swum.
